Lecturer & Researcher in Physical Oceanography

Advancing marine sciences by integrating teaching and research in physical oceanography, with a focus on air–sea interactions, climate change, and coastal resilience.

Nabila Afifah Azuga

About Me

I am a lecturer in the Marine Sciences Department at Fisheries and Marine Faculty. I am passionate about advancing the understanding of ocean climate phenomena and their relationship to physical oceanography. My research focuses on the intricate interactions between oceanic processes and climate change, exploring how shifts in ocean temperature, currents, and circulation patterns impact marine ecosystems and fisheries.

Professional Experience

Lecturer

University of Riau | 2024 - Present

  • Teaching undergraduate courses in physical oceanography, GIS, marine sedimentology, and other relevant fields regarding ocean-climate.
  • Conducting research on physical oceanography and ocean-climate.
  • Conducting field assessments for environmental, social, and ecological impacts.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
